Renata Nehme

BSDH, COM®

Airway Circle Founder


In 2016, while still practicing Dental Hygiene, Renata discovered the world of Myofunctional Therapy. She immediately recognized it as her calling, as it aligned perfectly with her interests in breastfeeding, early childhood development, and airway health. Driven by her newfound passion, she officially opened Myo Moves in 2018. Since then, Myo Moves has provided care to over 700 patients across more than 20 countries.

Renata Nehme is a distinguished teacher, mentor, and specialist in the field of Myofunctional Therapy, with an extensive background and a passion for improving patient care. She has spoken internationally on a range of topics including sleep-disordered breathing, sleep surgery rehabilitation, Myofunctional Therapy Treatment Protocol, and Screening for Myofunctional Disorders.

In 2021, Renata founded Airway Circle, an online airway study club for healthcare professionals. This platform has enabled her to mentor over 70 myofunctional therapists through the advanced course Myo Circle, alongside other dedicated Airway Circle Instructors. Renata's dedication to her field and her extensive experience make her a leading figure in Myofunctional Therapy, continually contributing to the advancement and dissemination of knowledge in this vital area of health care.

Angela Richwine

RDH, BS, QOM

Angela is a Registered Dental Hygienist and Orofacial Myologist located in Fredericksburg, Virginia. She is the owner of Central Virginia OMT providing myofunctional therapy to children and adults. Angela has lectured on the topics of myofunctional therapy and sleep-disordered breathing at the Kois Center, Pediatric and Adult Airway Network of New York (PAANNY) and European Society for Cosmetic Dentistry. She has also introduced the topic of airway health and orofacial myofunctional disorders to dental hygiene students nationwide.

Angela's personal experience with airway dysfunction has led her on a mission to help individuals and families discover a path toward greater health for themselves and their children.

Tamara Thomas

CSOM, CH-OSE

Tamara is a Registered Dental Hygienist graduating from Cerritos College Dental Hygiene in 2009. Tamara began studying myofunctional therapy in 2016, and in 2017, she opened her practice, Facial Physique, in San Diego, California treating adults and children with orofacial myofunctional disorders. She graduated as a Certified Specialist in Orofacial Myology from The Graduate School of Behavioral Health Sciences. For four years, she served as a myofunctional therapy advisor to students, and as an instructor for the Oral Systemic Educator Certification Program with the National Network of Healthcare Hygienists focusing on airway and medical terminology. She has been published in Canvas Rebel Magazine, co-presented in The STAR Course, a professional education course covering a multidisciplinary approach to sleep, oral ties and airway.

Having taken numerous introductory and  advanced myofunctional therapy programs, Tamara's passion for continued learning remains ongoing as she continues to attend quarterly educational conferences to expand her knowledge and clinical skill set  to help more patients.

Ann Blau

M.S., CCC-SLP, CMT®

As a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist and Certified Myofunctional Therapist, Ann is the owner of Access Speech Services, a private practice specializing in the assessment and treatment of Orofacial Myofunctional Disorders. She provides services to adults, adolescents and children in the states of New York and Florida via telepractice, as well as one-on-one educational consultations for professionals . Ann is certified in The Myo Method®  and Simon Says Myofunctional Therapy Programs, is a mentor in The Myo Membership® , and a Research Adjunct Fellow for RMUoHP. She is also a continuing education course instructor on the topics of Orofacial Myofunctional Disorders, Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy and Pediatric Sleep-Disordered Breathing.

Ann has co-presented on the latter at the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association’s annual conference in 2023 and co-wrote an article on this topic which was published in the Summer 2024 edition of Dental Sleep Practice magazine. Ann feels privileged to be able to give back by mentoring others who are embarking on a similar journey, and hopes they enjoy ongoing post-graduate learning as much as she does to better meet the needs of the patients they serve.

Madison Scott

RDH, BSDH, CertBBM, Orofacial Myologist

Madison is the founder of Breathe Well Ann Arbor and The Breathe Well Academy, specializing in breathing re-education and myofunctional therapy for children and adults. With over 20 years of experience in dental and airway health, Madison earned her Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene from the University of Michigan (2010) and is a Certified Buteyko Breathing Method Educator and Orofacial Myologist. Her passion for airway health is rooted in her own health journey, driving her commitment to empower clients to thrive through functional breathing, quality sleep, and collaborative care.

Madison is an active volunteer with Airway Circle and serves on its Board of Directors, contributing to education, mentorship, and professional development within the field.

Kimmie Herrera

RDH, BSDH, Orofacial Myologist

Kimmie is a Registered Dental Hygienist turned Certified Myofunctional Therapist and founder of Smile and Airway Health, LLC in Colorado, a practice specializing in in-person and virtual myofunctional therapy for children and adults.

Since entering the dental field in 2001, Kimmie has continuously advanced her education, focusing on airway health and its connection to overall well-being. Her passion for patient care led her to pursue specialized training in myofunctional therapy in 2017, laying the foundation for her current work. Kimmie leads a dedicated team of therapists and remains committed to advancing the field through education and collaboration. She is actively involved in professional development, including attending and presenting at conferences, mentoring myofunctional therapists, and serving as a volunteer with Airway Circle.

A respected industry leader, Kimmie was honored with the Ethel Covington Award at the 2023 CODHA Alpine Conference for her contributions to airway-focused care and collaboration. She finds immense fulfillment in mentoring others and empowering them to make a meaningful impact, inspired by her personal journey with airway health and her unwavering dedication to patient advocacy.
